Sweatshirts are extremely popular these days. Everybody wants to wear them. The reason why they have become so popular is because they are comfortable, affordable, warm and stylish at the same time. There once was a time when the sweatshirt was produced to cater to people’s needs to stay warm. It was the Champion company that first produced them in the first half of the 20th century, specifically with the intention to sell them to storehouse workers that really needed a way to keep themselves warm. The sweatshirt remained a functional type of clothing for many decades after this.

But eventually, the the second half of the 20th century, more and more people began wearing sweatshirts even though they didn’t necessarily needed them for anything. Sportsmen started wearing them before and after their performances. But also hip hop musicians and people from other music scenes started wearing them because they thought hoodies made them look good. And they did, of course. Hooded sweatshirts have a way of making the wearer look a little bit mysterious. So a hoodie can be a great style statement for when you want to make clear to the world that you are part of some community or subculture.

Nowadays, hooded sweatshirts are worn by people from all walks of life. Especially teenagers are very fond of them. Sweatshirts with hoods are now a real designer kind of clothing that can make a person look stylish and fashionable. Clothing designers realize that teens want to show off their brand clothing to their peers. For that reason, they always make sure to design sweatshirts with lots of attention attracting patterns with the brand logo displayed somewhere in the middle.

Not only are teenagers wearing hoodies now but adults also like them. Hoodies come in different kinds of thickness and can be worn in every single season of the year. Their prices are at an all time low so now is the time to stock up. I personally like to wear a hoodie when I’m taking a walk outside. Sometimes it gets fresh. When I’ve got my hoodie on, I can just pull the hood over my head and be warm again!
