Aside from theme parks and great food in the Costa Blanca, you should not also miss the spectacular sights which are truly an eye-catching part of your holiday vacation in the province of Alicante. You will really marvel at the monuments and buildings in the Costa Blanca especially in Calpe, one of its beautiful towns.

Ermita del Salvador. This sits high on a hill and overlooks the bay of Calpe. You will surely have a wonderful time as you will be seeing a great landscape as well.  Aside from Ermita del Salvador, you can also see the Chapel of the Savior in Calpe. The chapel was named after the Transfiguration of the Savior on August 6. This Gothic inspired church is painstakingly defined by diaphragm arches.

Ermita de la Cometa. Located on the outskirts of town, in the Tossal of the Comet, this is a collection of historic religious buildings consist of an ancient fortified farmhouse built in the late seventeenth century or early eighteenth century, also one of the religious monuments in Calpe to view.

Parish Church. This church is dedicated to the Our Lady of the Snows located right in the heart of the old town. Its interior is mainly decorated with mural paintings and mosaic which show the scene from the Old and New Testament along with the images of Christ and Virgen de las Nieves.

The Old Church.  This is connected to the Church of Our Lady of the Snows and a blunt example of gothic architectural style. It is a combination of religious and defensive wall.

The monuments and buildings in the Costa Blanca are proof of the Spaniards’ ingenuity. You can really see how they incorporate history with creativity in these monuments and buildings. Your holiday vacation will not be complete without visiting these historical landmarks which make the Costa Blanca an even more interesting place to visit.
