Floral Patterns and Stripes Create Beautiful Tropical Bedding
Tropical bedding has been updated, just as so many patterns and styles have been during the past decade. Once anything labeled tropical was almost too garish to fit into the average size bedroom. Floral patterns were too bright or too vibrant and often too large to have a visual appeal in the bedroom. It was even said that the colors were so bright and the patterns were so large that anyone sleeping under a summer comforter would not be able to sleep due to the brightness.
Croscill bedding has created one of the few ensembles that has successfully found a way to bring the lush flora of the warm tropics to our bedrooms. Called the Brazil pattern, tropical bedding designed by Croscill has all the benefits of a hot tropical print while keeping the colors sufficiently subdued.
The Brazil pattern successfully combines color and pattern. The background is a soft sage green that is highly decorated with darker shades of green leaves. The floral pattern includes a peach colored flower design that adds color but does not overwhelm the pattern. To offset the flora, the bed skirt uses the three shades of green to created a striped pattern. Unlike the fullness one could expect with a tropical design, the bed skirt hangs straight with no ruffles, giving the appearance of being fitted to the frame.
While it would be almost impossible to add additional patterns, the set is easily complemented with solid pillow shams and throw pillows in the lightest of the shades of green. The solid color pillows diffuses the pattern, adding breathing room and solemnity to a beautiful floral design. All that would be needed to complete the bedroom decor would be an upholstered chair in the lighter shade of peach found in the flower design. Any bedroom could easily embrace this beautiful combination of floral patterns and stripes if accentuated with light, solid colors.
